This tree is from Mihai Viteazu’s church in Alba Iulia. After a rainy spring in London that I could not sketch so many blooms as I wanted to, I got this beautiful apples to inspire me at Mihai Viteazu’s church and grave. He is a great Romanian rules who united Romanian counties for the first time. Unfortunately, he was betrayed by his own people and the Austrian king and Romania was divided soon after again.
